Waikiki Central Condos

In the heart of Central Waikiki, the energy of one of the world's most famous beaches takes hold offering some of the best swimming, surfing, and boogie boarding in the Pacific.   Whether enjoying the 2-mile stretch of white sand coast or the many restaurants and entertainment venues surrounding the renowned International Market Place, "aloha spirit" can be felt through and through.   It's not uncommon to find barefoot surfers carrying boards walking alongside men in business suits as Kalakaua Avenue has something for people from every walk of life.

Having burst onto the Honolulu condominium scene in the 1960's and 70's, Central Waikiki has as many condos as hotels with approximately 25% of the residential units owner-occupied with the remainder being used as second homes or investments.   The sustained boom within the Honolulu condo industry has left Central Waikiki with few parcels available for development.  However, according to Rick Egged, president of the Waikiki Improvement Association, this has not phased searching developers, claiming, "there are several major projects on the drawing board at the moment" (Pacific Business News, June 9, 2006).

Regardless of limited development space, residents new and old can enjoy a beachside paradise at their doorstep with living accommodations providing everything from laid back ocean-side views from the Waikiki Shore condominium to swimming and volleyball amenities at the Aloha Lani to a tranquil setting away from the tourist bustle at the Fairway Villa.   Either way Central Waikiki has established itself within the Honolulu condominium industry as a "neighborhood with everything to offer".
